This year will be a busy year for Santa and his little elves; they have been working hard
on Santas' Naughty and Nice list and making toys for all the good children.

"When you stop believing in Santa Claus, you get underwear and socks for Christmas."

Christmas is a time to give children an appreciation of who they are and what they are becoming. Christmas is all about making time for each other. What goes on between parent and child at a spiritual and emotional level truly counts on Christmas Day. Christmas is about birth, new life, the transmission of hope, and unconditional love. It's about sitting together at Christmas dinner and sharing stories. It's about burying grudges, reaching out to touch someone, helping the poor, visiting the lonely, or calling on a friend or relative you haven't seen for a year.

Merry Christmas

A POEM FOR SANTA
The sleigh is all packed,
The reindeer in bed,
Dreaming of pulling,
Santas red sled.
The elves have been busy,
With paper and bows,
Ribbons and packages,
And polishing a nose!
Do you know which one?
It's famous. It glows!
And I have been busy,
Checking out my new sleigh,
Making sure its perfect,
Making sure it's okay.
Cuz Santa is coming,
I'm but one sleep away!
Merry Christmas!

Tips To Create Christmas Cards At Home

As the festive season of Christmas approaches again, people worldwide send out dozens of cards to friends and relatives. The cards come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. This tradition has developed recently and is not over 200 years old. The custom of sending Christmas cards first started in England and slowly spread to America.

The Christmas cards can be too expensive if you try to get them from a card-selling store. With each year, the list of people you need to send the cards to also increases. So, what can you do to keep it inexpensive and at the same time send out Christmas cards to all your acquaintances? The best way out would be to make Christmas cards at your own home. They are not only fun to do, but the receiver of the card also feels good because you took pains to do it yourself. It carries a dash of personal touch.

Making Christmas cards at home is extremely easy. If you know little basics of the computer, then you can conveniently create a card at home. You can make use of the clip art designs to create interesting cards. If you are creative then you may as well use the paint option to draw lovely images, fill in the colors, and add pictures.

To make your Christmas cards more appealing, add some self-written text on the card. You can also get pictures from the Internet and paste them on Word to create cards if you can't draw. However, ensure that the picture you use should not have any copyright issues. After your card is ready, get a print of it. You can also create a cover for your card and decorate it with dried flowers and leaves. You can use cellophane wrapping or contact paper to protect this from damage.

Create Homemade Gift Baskets For Christmas

Christmas is the time to celebrate, make merry, and indulge in giving. People give out gifts to friends and relative and spread cheer all around. Of late, the gift baskets have grown much in popularity. They help you in personalizing your gifts while presenting them. The baskets can be made in many creative ways. They can also be used at home after the gift inside it has been removed. There are many gift baskets available in the market, but you can be more creative by making a gift basket at home by using other items. How about creating an innovative gift basket without an actual basket? It just requires some planning and creativity. Here are some ideas on how to create the perfect gift basket at home.

You can use different bases to hold your gift instead of a traditional basket. For example, if someone in the family loves cooking, consider gifting her kitchen items filled into a crockpot. Fill in all the items inside a stockpot or crockpot and add some glitters and bow to it to make it look exceptional.

If there is some man in the family who loves fishing then how about gifting him a conventional wicker tackle box which would help to hold a cluster of fishing items. You can use this as a creative basket to stuff it with goodies such as handkerchiefs, a line, a coffee thermos, and some other things you think he would like to take with him on his next fishing trip.

Women love to be pampered, so you can create a basket from a robe and fill it with various items such as a manicure kit, eye mask, gels, lotions, and other girlies.

The kids can gift their teachers a tote bag with many other things, such as pens, notebooks, and papers. You can put the gifts inside the bag and surprise your teacher. You can also attach a card to it to wish them a happy holiday season.

Fun-filled Ideas For Christmas Decorations

Christmas brings along with it lots of good times and cheer. One of the most exciting things to do during this time of the year is decorating a Christmas tree. This is also one of the most nostalgic moments for the adults and a fun time for kids. So, if you too love to decorate a Christmas tree, then here are some exciting decorating ideas for this season.

You can start with the front of your home, which is mostly forgotten but is the most important one to make a good impression. You can decorate the space in the front with two Christmas trees. You can both get the pre-lit ones because they are hassle-free, or you can light the candles and put them on the trees yourself. You may get a nice welcome mat with snowflakes or holiday flower designs.

Houses with entryways make for the perfect place for Christmas decorations. If you have a large entryway then you can place a lighted Christmas tree there. This tree can be used for decorating as well as entertainment purposes. You can place the main Christmas tree in either the living room or the den.

If you cannot put so many Christmas trees in your home, you can get the kids to make hang cloth Christmas tree banners and glue them on the wall. Glitter can be added to it to create a special effect. This is a creative and fun way to involve the kids in the decorations of Christmas at home.

The bathroom is one part of the house that usually gets neglected when decorating. This holiday season remember to decorate even your bathroom by placing some scented pine, holiday spice, or cinnamon.

You can add freshness to the bedroom by buying linens in red, green, or silver. You can also opt for holiday quilts that are warm and comfortable.

Christmas Gift Ideas For Those You Care

The sentiment attached to it was more than enough. However, these days, the gifts are more stylish and creative. If you want to surprise your family and friends with exciting gifts, then here are some fun ideas.

If you have friends or someone in the family who is an avid magazine reader, you may gift them a year or two-year subscription. This will save you money and, at the same time, will be directly sent to the recipient. You will receive a confirmation card, which you can gift them on Christmas morning.

You don't need to think for the kids as they have their gifts decided months before Christmas. You can go to the shop and buy them what they want. Organizing A Christmas Family Gathering

Christmas is time to get together and celebrate family bonding. No matter where all your relatives and friends live, this is one time of the year when they would come down to meet and spend time together. Show about organizing a Christmas family gathering that is full of warmth and have fun. You can prepare some mouthwatering delicacies to treat the guests and several other things to make your party turn out great. Here are some helpful tips:

Most of the family gatherings are usually based on food. So, plan the menu. If you know who likes what, try if you can get those specialties prepared to surprise them.

You must send out invitations early so everybody knows the venue and the time. You may also include the starting and ending times in the invitation cards.

You can get some help from your family members to organize things. You may ask some family members to bring some dessert, side dish or wine to your place. If you have planned a family get-together then you can freely ask for help as organizing everything alone could be difficult. You have taken the initiative, let others help you too.

You may also organize a gift exchange at the gathering. You may as well mention this in the invitation card. This would make your party more interesting and lively. Remember the music. Get some good music CDs or DVDs and keep them playing to create the perfect ambiance for the gathering.

For the kids, you may arrange for some game or a movie. All the kids can enjoy some game in a room, in the presence of an adult. You may give out prizes to the winner. You may even get some good movie DVDs for the kids to watch.

Remember to have all arrangements to accommodate the elderly and disabled people, if any. This time is to relax and cherish the moments, so enjoy the most out of it.

AM I SANTA CLAUS ?

Santa is bigger than anyone, and his work has gone on longer than we have lived. What he does is simple, but it is powerful. He teaches children to believe in something they can't see or touch. It's a big job, and it's an important one. Throughout your life, you will need this capacity to believe in yourself, your friends, your talents, and your family. You also need to believe in things you can't measure or even hold in your hand.

I am talking about love, that great power that will light your life from the inside out, even during its darkest, coldest moments. Santa is a teacher, and I have been his student. And now you know how he gets down all those chimneys on Christmas Eve: he has help from all the people whose hearts he's filled with joy. With full hearts, people like Daddy and I take turns helping Santa do a job that would otherwise be impossible.

So, no. I am not Santa. Santa is love and magic and hope and happiness. I'm on his team, and now you are, too.

Just FYI
Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Sinterklaas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, or simply "Santa", is a historical, legendary, and mythological figure who, in many Western cultures, is said to bring gifts to the homes of the good children during the late evening and overnight hours of Christmas Eve, December 24 or on his Feast Day, December 6 (Saint Nicholas Day). The legend may have part of its basis in hagiographical tales concerning the historical figure of gift giver Saint Nicholas. Greek and Byzantine folklore attribute a nearly identical story to Basil of Caesarea. Basil's feast day on January 1 is considered the time of exchanging gifts in Greece. While Saint Nicholas was originally portrayed wearing bishop's robes, today Santa Claus is generally depicted as a plump, jolly, white-bearded man wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots (images of him rarely have a beard with no mustache). This image became popular in the United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast. This image has been reinforced through song, radio, television, and films. In the United Kingdom and Europe, he is often depicted in a manner identical to the American Santa Claus, but he is commonly called Father Christmas. A well-known folk legend associated with Santa Claus says that he lives in a land of perpetual snow in the far north. The American version of Santa Claus says that he lives at his house on the North Pole, while Father Christmas is often said to reside in the mountains of Korvatunturi in Lapland Province, Finland. Santa Claus lives with his wife, Mrs. Claus, countless magical elves, and eight or nine flying reindeer. Another legend, popularized in the song Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, says that he makes a list of children throughout the world, categorizing them according to their behavior ("naughty" or "nice") and that he delivers presents, including toys, candy, and other gifts to all of the good boys and girls in the world, and sometimes coal to the naughty children, on the single night of Christmas Eve. He accomplishes this feat with the aid of the elves who make the toys in the workshop and the reindeer who pull his sleigh.
